Why We Built This

When we work with mission-driven organizations — immigration legal services, reproductive health advocates, civil rights groups, journalists — one of the first questions is always: "What tools should we use?"

Finding good answers isn't easy. Most "best privacy tools" articles are written for individual users, not organizations. Many are thinly-veiled affiliate marketing. Some recommend tools that sound secure but have serious flaws.

We got tired of starting from scratch every time. So we built this directory — a curated collection of the tools we actually use, deploy for clients, and recommend with confidence.

What Makes This Different

This isn't a generic list scraped from other sites. Every tool here has been evaluated through the lens of organizational security:

Who We Are

This directory is maintained by Ascension Strategy Solutions, a security consulting firm specializing in infrastructure for mission-driven organizations.

Our founder, Lisa, has 13+ years in nonprofit advocacy combined with 20+ years in operations. After experiencing firsthand what happens when organizations face security crises, she built a practice focused on helping high-risk organizations protect themselves proactively.

The tools in this directory aren't theoretical recommendations — they're the same tools we use to run our own business and deploy for our clients.
